Been Busy! (Hiatus)

I'm so sorry for the lack of updates guys! I am suuuuuuuuuuuuuuupper swamped right now. I've recovered from my poison ivy, thankfully. But I've been having some other health issues that absolutely must be addressed, and it's going to take me several months, if not longer, to work on. Nothing too serious or life-threatening, don't worry. I just really need to take control of my health at the moment, not only for my sake but for my family's sake. I'm also trying to get some home improvement projects done because I really want to sell my house. I have many family events taking place over the summer, plus my part-time job. So I literally have no time. Unfortunately this means no new releases. I haven't even had a chance to even look at the newest chapters out of Japan.

That being said, if anyone wants to take over the projects I've been working on, feel free to do so. I won't feel slighted or anything. In fact, I encourage it, because all of these series' are great, and I have a true love for all of them. If no one takes them up, then I will continue to try and work on them when I have time, albeit slowly. I just have so much going on right now, that refining my language skills is pretty much in last place.

I want to thank everyone of you fans who have encouraged me, embraced this projects, and enjoyed my work. I look forward to working on manga again (and hopefully soon). So for now, all projects or an hiatus, until I can get some time away from everything else.

Have a great summer!

No new chapters yet... boo...

So, yeah... just as the title says, I have no new chapters for you guys yet. I think I mentioned over in the little chat box I was spending some time outdoors and doing some gardening since the weather here was so nice (although now it's gone back to freezing). I've been working on my garden ALOT, but I'm only about 3/4 done with it, because my soil is full of roots and man, it's a pain in the butt. Things have been going pretty well in that aspect, but unfortunately, I've gotten Poison Ivy. So um, yeah... I'm pretty uncomfortable right now. So I'm not sure when I'm going to work on translating yet, because it's pretty hard to concentrate and type and stuff when all you want to do is scratch. It's pretty darn inconvenient. I'll try to get some work done soon, but I just wanted to update you all. Here's to hoping this passes quickly! **globs Caladryl on**

Crow in the Starry Sky Chapter 1

I've finally finished the first chapter of the new series I'm picking up.  It took me quite a while to do because 1) I translated all from Japanese 2) it was a whopping 62 pages and 3) there are a ton of technical Go terms.  Hopefully I left notes in the manga that actually make sense.  I may end up building an index of go terms to add to future releases, but I'm not sure yet if that will be needed.

I am so excited to be doing this manga.  As I stated in the preview a few days ago, Go is something that's been near and dear to my heart for years, ever since the series Hikaru no Go.  If you haven't read the manga or seen the anime to that, you need to! Hehehe.

I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do!  Please feel free to leave comments on what you think of this series!

Future Project Preview: Crow in the Starry Sky

Good morning pandas! After months of debating with myself, I've decided to pick up another side project. I first came across this series in a July issue of Hana to Yume, and it's pretty much stuck in my mind. The series is called Hoshizora no Karasu, AKA Crow in the Starry Sky. I've decided to share a one page color preview from that issue just for fun! ^.^

The series is about a young girl named Karasuma Waka, who was taught how to play Go by her grandfather. Unfortunate events occur and her mother wishes for Waka to never play Go. One day Waka meets a young pro Go player, Sagisaka Souji, which sets her on the path of playing Go professionally.

Go is something I've personally been attracted to since the series Hikaru no Go. If you haven't read that series, or seen the anime adaptation, I highly recommend it.

The first chapter of this series isn't quite ready yet, hence the preview. The first chapter is a whopping 62 pages, and including the color pages from the hana to yume issue, it's even more, lol. So yea, I'm like only halfway through the translations. But it's enjoyable, and I'm looking forward to releasing this project in the future!

Oresama Teacher Chapter 94

Ok, so this is what happens when you have a cold, get bored and have an obsession. LOL. Just finished chapter 94. So, there's a few things I want to say regarding this chapter.

First, I translated strictly from the Japanese, which I'm not the most fluent in. Usually I do both the Chinese and Japanese, because Chinese is easier for me to understand, but I still prefer the Japanese phrasing. So, that being said, the translations might not be as as spot on as the previous chapters. However, I think it's still pretty darn good. And considering this is my personal language project, I'd say I've done a pretty good job. :P

Secondly, this chapter is not presented in the same way previous chapters are. It's covers Yui's journey all the way back from chapter 52, and fast forwards to other points, working it's way up to the present. So it's almost disjointed, and might be confusing to some. Usually the chapters are all in the present with flashbacks. So, just keep this in mind!

Thirdly, we're all caught up with the Japanese releases! So, now we have to wait until the next release. Chapter 95 will be out in Japan on 4/5. So until then there's no more OT for me to work on. (sadface)

Oresama Teacher Chapter 93

Bet you guys weren't expecting the next chapter so soon! Hehe.  Surprise!

This chapter also has alot of excitement!  Chapter 94 was released in Japan today, so we're pretty close to them.  I wanted to get this chapter out ASAP, because unfortunately, I'm getting sick.  My daughter was sick all this week, and now I've finally gotten it.  So I know I'm gonna be down and out for at least a few days (boo!).  I didn't want to leave the chapter half finished and then come back after being sick and have everything discombobulated.

Anyhow, the cover of this issue of Hana to Yume was Oresama Teacher.  And inside was a 2 page spread of the character (popularity) rankings.  In case you can't tell, here they are:
1st: Kurosaki Mafuyu; 7576 points
2nd: Kenkawa Kouhei; 4454 points
3rd: Ayabe Reito; 3159 points
4th: Okegawa Kyoutaro; 3022 points
5th: Hayasaka-kun; 2423 points
6th: Saeki Takaomi; 2097 points
7th: Maizono Yuuto; 1595 points
8th: Shinobu Yui; 755 points
9th: Sakurada Asahi; 711 points
10th: Shibuya Aki; 476 points
11th: Ookubo Kotobuki; 438 points.
12th: Yokioka Komari; 318 points.
13th: Kawauchi Tomohiro; 305 points.
